ここではアメリカはカリフォルニアのマウンテンビューで"Herlinger's Corvette Repair"というコルベット専門のリペアショップを営んでおられる経験豊かなプロメカニック、 David Herlingerさんのコルベットリペアに関するTipsをお届けします。Allen Woolleyさんという人（リンク集にこの人のHPがあります）に私のゴージャス号のデフのガタについて相談しているうちに「マウンテンビューにどえりゃあ腕のいいメカがおるでよお、オレがいっちょうその大将におみゃあのトラブルについて聞いたるで、ちょっと待っとりゃあ！」という話になって以後あれこれやりとりをしているうちにアレンさんが「日本語に訳したい？別に全然構わんよ」という話になりましたので新たなコーナーを作ってここで紹介いたします。2000年10月5日現在、まだデフのガタに関する1件だけですがデイブさんがヒマな時に少しずつ原稿を書いてくれてここでシリーズものみたいになったらいいなあと思っています。
